Data Deletion Request

Everything you need to know about removing your personal data from Webnyxa AI, including website data, account information, and WhatsApp chat history.

1. Overview

You can request the deletion of your personal information held by Webnyxa Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Webnyxa”) at any time. This page explains exactly what we store, how to request deletion, and what happens afterwards.

Deletion is permanent and non-reversible. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and applicable international frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).

2. What Data We Store

Depending on how you use Webnyxa, we may hold:

  • Account data — your email, name, profile settings, subscription tier, and build-credit balance.
  • Website project data — source files, deployments, custom domains, uploaded images/documents, and blog posts you’ve created.
  • WhatsApp chat data — phone number, conversation history, message-processing logs, payment-link metadata, and one-time-password verification records used to manage your site over WhatsApp.
  • Billing records — payment receipts, invoice IDs (not card details — those stay with Razorpay/Stripe).
  • Operational logs — pipeline/build logs and AI-interaction metadata used for debugging and improving the service.

3. How to Request Deletion

You have three channels — pick whichever is easiest:

Option A — In-dashboard (recommended, fastest)

Sign in at webnyxa.com/ai/auth/login and visit Account Settings. Individual sites can be deleted from each site’s Settings page. For full account deletion, email the address below — we do this manually to prevent accidental account loss.

Option B — Email us

Send an email from the address associated with your account to privacy@webnyxa.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and include:

  • The email address on the account to be deleted
  • The WhatsApp number (if any) linked to your sites
  • The specific data you want removed (full account, a specific site, or WhatsApp chat history only)

Option C — WhatsApp

Message our WhatsApp business number and type delete my account. For security, WhatsApp requests are escalated to a human operator who will verify your identity via your registered email before proceeding — we never execute destructive deletions directly from chat.

4. What Happens After You Request Deletion

  • We acknowledge your request within 48 hours.
  • Your deployed websites are taken offline (S3 contents and CloudFront distributions removed) within 7 days.
  • Account records, site data, media uploads, WhatsApp session/conversation history, and AI-interaction logs are permanently purged within 30 days.
  • Backup snapshots containing your data are expired on their normal rolling schedule (typically within 90 days) and are not restored.
  • You’ll receive a final confirmation email once deletion is complete.

5. What We May Retain (And Why)

A small amount of information may be kept for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons, only for the period required by law:

  • Invoices & tax records — retained for 7 years under Indian tax regulations.
  • Fraud/abuse flags — hashed identifiers retained to prevent re-signup for accounts terminated for abuse.
  • Anonymised aggregate metrics — retained indefinitely; these cannot identify you individually.

Everything outside the list above is permanently removed at the 30-day mark.

6. WhatsApp-Specific Deletion

If you only want your WhatsApp data removed (but want to keep your web account), email the address above with “WhatsApp data deletion” in the subject. We will delete:

  • Your WhatsApp session row in wa_sessions
  • All conversation history with our bot
  • Any staged images/documents you sent that weren't copied to a site
  • Your phone number from our message-processing logs
  • Razorpay Payment Links associated with your WhatsApp number

Your websites and dashboard account remain unaffected. You can re-link a new WhatsApp number later if you wish.

7. Third-Party Data

Webnyxa uses a small set of service providers to operate the platform. When you request deletion, we also instruct them to remove your data where applicable:

  • Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — we don’t store your WhatsApp messages on Meta servers; Meta has its own retention policy which you can review on their privacy page.
  • Razorpay / Stripe — payment records retained per their compliance requirements; card data is never stored by Webnyxa.
  • Supabase / AWS (S3, CloudFront, CodeBuild) — storage of project and account data; removed when we delete our records.
  • Anthropic — our AI model provider; per their API terms, prompts are not used for training and are deleted on their rolling schedule.
